90x150cm, oil on gilded canvas

This historic jewel in on the piazza Santa Croce in Firenze. It is a façade built in 1500 to unify three houses, and windows are getting nearer to each other to the left, to create a more grandiose perspective towards Santa Croce (my absolutely favourite church in Firenze, wooden roof!!). One special feature is the fresco façade, that was created in 20 days by 13 painters, around 1620. In the façade the faded images are a reminder of the terrible flood in 1966, waters rose 6,7 meters in Santa Croce, and destruction was unfathomable.
